Peter A. Passaro, D.Phil., is Chief Data Officer at Datanauts.
Peter was previously Research Fellow at the Department of Informatics/Department of Biology, University of Sussex; a Biotechnology Venture Capital Analyst; and Staff Scientist for UCLA and Georgia Tech.
He coauthored Hybrots: Hybrids of Living Neurons and Robots for Studying Neural Computation, Combining Time-lapse Optical Microscopy and Multi-electrode Arrays to Study Learning in Vitro, and Sensory driven multi-neuronal activity and associative learning monitored in an intact CNS on a multielectrode array.
Peter earned his B.S. in Microbiology at the University of Florida in 1994, his M.S. in Molecular Biology at the University of Florida in 1998, and his D.Phil. in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Sussex. His doctoral work involved adapting a multi-electrode array system for recording from intact invertebrate brains, and development of a software analysis system for locating cells and their causal connectivity in multi-electrode recordings.
